Didsbury book group

FAQ

What is the Didsbury book group?

The Didsbury book group is a group of people that meet once a month to talk about an agreed upon book. It’s a very friendly and casual group who enjoy both talking about books and socialising with like minded people.

Where and when do you meet?

We meet on the first Monday of every month in the Woodstock pub in West Didsbury. The meeting usually goes on between 7:30 pm and 9:00pm.

What types of books do you read?

All sorts. Take a look at the Reviews section and you’ll see what we’ve read so far. Every month, the people present suggest a book and the decision is voted on.

What does it cost?

Nothing. No subs or the like. Just enough for a drink or two (and enough for a new book every month, of course!).

How can I join?

Just turn up. You’re sure to see one of us clutching a book.

What if I have any more questions?

You can either contact us through the website or send a mail to books@gmorgan.net and I’ll do my best to answer any questions you have.

Where is the Woodstock?

Good question. The address of the Woodstock is:

139 Barlow Moor Road, Didsbury, M20 2DY.

It’s located just after Palatine Road and Barlow Moor Road cross, on the way towards Chorlton.
